Who is Ms. Botanical?

My name is Carol Rudowsky, but most of my friends and family call me “Ms. Botanical”. My love and passion for plants, people, and the beautiful diversity of nature, is a constant source of inspiration for my life and the botanical artwork I create and share with others. My goal when creating my artwork is to show you what is right under your own feet that you may have never looked at in nature. A personal moment of mindful reflection for you to; “stop and smell the roses,” and bathe in the beauty of nature that surrounds us each and every day. My travels around the globe have fostered and curated this mission to educate those about our world's diverse natural environment, to move toward our collective responsibility and engagement with others through my artwork, and to promote a more sustainable future for all!

Artist Statement

My botanical illustrations, nature photography, and instructive lessons serve as an opportunity to personally engage with all communities and admire, as well as treasure the diversity of our natural world. The art I create exemplifies the crucial value of biodiversity in order to preserve and sustain the environment for all life.  My goal is to heighten your personal appreciation, applications, and awareness of the ways we can combat the constant threats and challenges to the survival of plants on this planet for our own collective future. I hope to inspire others by crafting engaging opportunities to appreciate the value of sustainability and to take pride in empowering, preserving, and respecting the biodiverse life on earth.
